PURPOSE:To provide the white blood cell removing filter which is improved in a white blood cell removing rate without lowering blood filtration rate. CONSTITUTION:This white blood cell removing filter is constituted by supplying the monomer of a cationic high polymer having a pyridine ring or pyridinium ring in the molecule on at least one surface of a high-polymer base material so as to attain >=80% rate of removing latex particles of 6mum grain size, <=20% rate of removing latex particles of 3mum grain size and 1.6 to 2.4sec/cm<2> time for permeation through the filter and subjecting this monomer to graft polymn., then causing high-polymer complex by reaction with a monomer having sulfonic acid within the molecule, thereby forming a high-polymer film layer. Since this filter does not contain excess cationic groups, the filter can prevent clogging by cytotoxy, platelet agglutination or thrombosis. |
