PURPOSE:To realize an oxygen concentration measuring method to measure the concentration of oxygen in a stable manner over a long period and obtain a small oxygen sensor. CONSTITUTION:An oxygen pump cell is comprised of electrodes 1, 5, and an oxide ion conductivity solid electrolyte 3, and an oxygen sensor cell is comprised of electrodes 1, 4 and an oxide ion conductivity solid electrolyte 2. If a preset current J is designed to flow in the oxygen pump cell, oxygen partial pressure or oxygen activity is constantly maintained at the boundary between the oxygen pump cell and the oxygen sensor cell. In reference to the oxygen partial pressure or the oxygen activity, electromotive force generating in the oxygen sensor cell is measured, thereby to find oxygen partial pressure in an atmosphere. |
