<p>PURPOSE:To offer a non-block ATM cross-connect device capable of performing additional installation from small capacity to large capacity at an operating state and that can be distributed. CONSTITUTION:This device is comprised of unit switch modules 311-313 in which n/2 input of an ATM switch of (n)Xn/2 comparatively small in capacity are set as output ports 331-333 for expansion by branching, and residual n/2 as input ports 321-323 for expansion, and a connection switch module 341 incorporating (mXm) ATM switches large in capacity, and a large scale ATM cross- connect device can be comprised by connecting two unit switch modules to each other, or connecting plural unit switch modules to the connection switch module.</p> |
