PURPOSE:To print a character obliquely at a required position on caper by a method wherein a character pattern of an input character is developed, a process wherein each character is rotated by a specific angle is performed, and an arranged position is calculated on each character pattern. CONSTITUTION:An oblique printing processing part 14 and a CPU 11 cooperate in developing an input character to a character pattern consisting of a dot image and the character pattern is a character by a character rotated by a required angle. A relative position of each character pattern is so obtained as to be arranged on an oblique line following the specific angle to generate an oblique character line. Printer 18 reserves the oblique character line to be outputted from the oblique printing processing part 14 in an occupied printing buffer, and successively prints the oblique character line by transfer of a printing head. The printer can be composed of, for instance, a dot matrix printer, and an LCD 17 displays not only the input character and converted results but also an input image for inputting a data necessary for the oblique printing. |
