PURPOSE:To increase and decrease the speed of a single phase induction motor highly efficiently, by sequentially repeating the conduction and nonconduction by using bidirectional control rectifying elements and firing means. CONSTITUTION:Coils 1a-1d which are equally arranged corresponding to the number of poles in a loop-shaped closed circuit on a main winding are selected as one group. In this way, trigger pulses are applied to triacs 6a-7d so that the both polarities of an AC power source 5 are supplied to the connecting parts 3a-3d at th beginning and finishing parts of winding. At the same time, are selected coils 2a-2d which have phase relationship of 90 deg. with respect to the coils 1a-1d which are equally arranged and selected corresponding to the number of the poles in the loop shaped closed circuit on auxiliary windings. Both poles of the AC power source 5 are alternately conducted to the direct connecting parts 4a-4d of the beginning and finishing parts of the windings. These trigger pulses are applied to the corresponding triacs 8a-9d, and said trigger pulses are sequentially stepped. |
