PURPOSE:To offer a long life and high reliable electrophotographic device on which the number of parts is reduced, fine color matching can be carried out, and a photosensitive body and an intermediate transfer body are not damaged. CONSTITUTION:The timing of the image recording start of each color onto the photosensitive body 1 is controlled based on an output signal for detecting a photosensitive body reference mark 1b by a photosensitive body reference detection sensor 10 according to output from a periodic difference calculation means, so that consecutive printing can be carried out without adjusting the position of the photosensitive body 1 with respect to the intermediate transfer body 16. Therefore, time for adjusting the position of the photosensitive body 1 with respect to the intermediate transfer body 16 is omitted, and a clutch mechanism can be abolished, so that producing cost is drastically reduced, and simultaneously, fine adjustment for color matching can be carried out. Further, since it is unnecessary that a speed difference between the photosensitive body 1 and the intermediate transfer body 16 is generated, the photosensitive body 1 and the intermediate body 16 can be prevented from being damaged. |
