PURPOSE:To provide a high-permeability wear-resistant alloy having improved wear resistance and suitable for use as a magnetic head core material by combinedly adding Sn and a noble metal to an Fe-Si-Al alloy besides an alloy of Cr, Ti, Zr, Y, etc. CONSTITUTION:This high-permeability wear-resistant alloy consists of, by wt%, 2-10, especially 9-10 Al, 4-12 Si, 0.01-3.0 Sn, 0.01-3.0 one or more kinds along Cr, Ti, V, Y, Zr and Cu as group A element, 0.01-2% one or more kinds among the Pt group metals, Au and Ag as group B element, and the balance essentially Fe. This alloy has remarkably improved wear resistance without causing a considerable deterioration of the magnetic characteristics as compared to conventional alloys of the same kind. |
