PURPOSE:To perform a system test of a main frame test and a SVP test/RAS test in a shorter time. CONSTITUTION:A diagnosis instruction (instruction DIAG) which starts the SVP test/RAS test from the main frame test is provided, and the main frame test is executed on the side of a central processing unit (CPU) 1 to detect the diagnosis instruction; and when the diagnosis instruction is synchronous, the operation on the CPU 1 is stopped, and the stop state in the CPU 1 is released at the time of the end of execution indicated by the diagnosis instruction on the side of an SVP 5, and the main frame test is restarted from the instruction following the diagnosis instruction. When the diagnosis instruction is asynchronous, the CPU 1 executes the next test and accepts the test end interrupt from the SVP 5 to recognize that execution of the asynchronous diagnosis instruction is terminated on the SVP 5. |
