A room checking method using the electronic cash register comprising the reservation key (A) and the cancellation key (B) is performed by: inputting the data for setting the data display flag; setting the reservation information flag region for inputting the room number when the reservation information flag of the inputted room number is not set, followed by storing the input data to the memory region of the relevant reservation data; cleaning the reservation data memory region and the reservation information flag region of inputted room number when the cancellation key is inputted; cleaning the data input display flag and the cancellation key input flag after the above reservation and cancellation processing.
