VARIABLE/SWITCHABLE COUPLER A waveguide coupler wherein the coupling of power from one waveguide arm to an adjacent waveguide arm through an aperture in a common wall may be switched on and off at very high speed or controlled from zero to a maximum level by appropri-ately controlling how bias potential is applied to a reflective/absorptive element disposed in the aperture in the common wall.
