<p>PURPOSE:To obtain the subject culture medium, containing a specific amount of methionine and capable of producing excellent proliferating effects on culture, especially primary culture of extremely various animal cells as compared with those of conventional culture media. CONSTITUTION:The objective culture medium containing 8-14 mg/l methionine. Epithelial animal cells are especially preferred as animal cells. Amino acids, vitamins, minerals, etc., are normally used as other blending ingredients. Threonine, tyrosine, phenylalanine, glutamic acid, lysine hydrochloride and serine are preferably blended as the amino acids and calcium chloride is preferably blended as a mineral source.</p> |
