PURPOSE:To obtain the titled activator, containing specific compounds of N- acyllactams as an active ingredient and capable of propagating and activating root nodule bacteria symbiotic in roots for increasing yield of gramineous plants. CONSTITUTION:The aimed activator containing compounds of N-acyllactams expressed by the formula (R is -NO2, -OH or -NH2; n is 1 or 2) {e.g. 1-[2-(4- hydroxyphenyl)ethanol]-2-piperidone or 1-[3-( 4-nitrophenyl ) propanoyl-2-peperi done} as an active ingredient. Cultivation is preferably carried out by adding the above-mentioned activator in an amount of 0.001-0.1mg based on 1l culture fluid in cultivating root nodule bacteria. |
