PURPOSE: To enable an electrophotographic copying system to skip a nondocumentary page by selecting the position of a page number as necessary by scanning and storing an original document and paging the document in accordance with a paging format. CONSTITUTION: When a page number option is actuated, a page number screen showing the positions of preset various page numbers is displayed. The operator of an electrophotographic copying system can designate a new page number parameter by using a page number default parameter. When the position of a preset page number is undesirable, the operator can select another position and input the selected position as the new position of the page number by designating the horizontal and vertical distances. In addition, the operator can designate the first page and first page number from a keyboard. When the position of a page number on a left-side page is designated in a mirrored positioning mode, the position is automatically decided symmetrically with respect to the folding line. |
