PURPOSE:To prevent heating of other parts by air heated at a fixing unit by providing a partition plate closing an exhaust path formed between a fixing unit and a casing. CONSTITUTION:The partition plate 33 provided on the image forming unit side of the fixing unit 17 has its upper and lower ends fixed to a housing 17c of the fixing unit 17 and the upper casing 1a, respectively, thus is constituted to close an exhaust path 32. Then, an exhaust fan 22 is activated with the operation of a laser printer, and the air in the periphery of the fixing unit 17 as the heating part and the air containing ozone in the vicinity of an electrifying part 5 and a transfer part 7 are exhausted outside the casing 1. At this time, the air in the periphery of the fixing unit 17 flows in the direction of the arrow E by the partition plate 33 of the exhaust path 32. Therefore, this air can be prevented from flowing to other parts of the laser printer along the top casing 1a, especially to the image forming unit 9 of the exhaust path 32. |
