The invention relates to a device for skinning pigs which is of vertical design and is intended to be used in the slaughtering lines of slaughtering systems. The aim of the invention is to separate good-quality skin from the carcass while being able to cope with any skin thickness. The object of the invention is to develop a device which makes it unnecessary to adjust the distance between the cutting knife and the cutting roller on a constant or periodic basis and ensures that the adhesion of fat and the cracking of skin are avoided. According to the invention, the object is achieved in that the cutting knife is pivotably mounted on a mounting, four of which are arranged on a crossmember, and that below the cutting knife there is situated a knife which is for the subsequent removal of bacon and can be adjusted, together with the cutting knife, to set the cutting distance from the cutting roller, but which can also be adjusted independently. <IMAGE> |
