PURPOSE:To prevent useless power consumption, by providing a treading board treadable by an operator in operating a copier, and a detector for detecting whether the operator stands on this board or not, and turning on and off power supply. CONSTITUTION:Treading board 5 treadable by an operator in operating main body 1 of a copier is provided in front of body 1. Board 5 is provided for example with pressure sensitive switches 6 under the whole range of board 5, they detect pressure of an operator on board 5 by their turning on, and drive main body 1, 8 of the copier via controller 7. When body 1 is running and absence of the operator on board 5 is detected, supply of power source 9 is kept, and a signal for automatically stopping its supply after completion of copying operation is provided. |
