The invention concerns a printer, which comprises a writing head; a paper web for printing a document; and a document-displacement device connected to the paper web with lower drive wheels lying beside each other arranged on at least two shafts lying one behind the other, acting in the document's lower surface, and spring-mounted upper drive wheels 8 pressing up from the document towards the lower drive wheels, which upper drive wheels, corresponding to the lower drive wheels, have been arranged beside each other and behind each other on rigid shafts 7 above the pair of drive wheels forming the lower drive wheels, with possible exception of the first lower row of drive wheels above which there are possibly arranged freely-rotating press wheels, also stop devices situated on the paper web for straightening the document. Each upper drive wheel 8 has a cylindrical part 10 forming the wheel's periphery, and a flexible casing 11 between the cylindrical part 10 and the draw shaft 7, fixed to be stationary relative to these parts. <IMAGE>
