PURPOSE:To inexpensively mass-produce a sintered compact clad member which can easily locate the position of a sintered compact chip on a metallic base plate and has a new structure useful for contact member. CONSTITUTION:Chips 1 of Ag-Pd sintered compact containing 5% C are aligned and temporarily fixed in the prescribed position on the surface of a long-sized strip 3 made of nickel silver material to which a spray fixing agent is applied. This strip 3 is laid, into a state where the sintered compact chips 1 are interposed, on a long-sized metallic base plate 7 made of nickel silver material. Ordinary clad rolling is performed in a length direction under the condition of 45% reduction of area and then the long-sized strip 3 is peeled off, by which a sintered compact clad member 13 whose surface is clad with the plural sintered compact chips 1 in a line can be obtained. By this method, a micromotor brush usable at an electric current of >=500mA can be produced. |
