A hinge comprises a pair of tubular hinge members 11, 111 connected by at least one pair of bell crank levers 12, 112 hinged together at an intermediate position 13, each lever being pivoted at one end in a slot 28, 128 formed in the inner end of one member and guided at the other end for movement within the other member, the members being movable between an open position, in which they lie side by side with their axes parallel, and a closed position, as shown, in which they are co-axial and completely enclose the levers. The levers may be guided by pivoted links 16, 116, or by means of transversely projecting guide pins which run in slots in the hinge members. The hinge members are adapted to be fitted into suitably shaped holes formed in the parts to be hinged together and each may be clamped therein by means of an indented sector 20 (Fig. 6) movable radially outwardly by a screw 19 or by a resilient tongue (Fig. 10) formed by a slit 22 in the member and movable outwardly in the same manner. |
