PURPOSE:To obtain a porous sintered and formed article composed of nearly 100% fly ash, useful as building material and construction material, and effective for the reutilization of fly ash discharged in large amount as industrial waste from thermal power plant, etc. CONSTITUTION:Fly ash is mixed with an aqueous solution or emulsion of an organic binder. The mixture is press-formed and baked at a high temperature to burn out the organic binder and sinter the fly ash in porous form. |
