PURPOSE: To quickly and well classify or separate a material contained in a shovel by entirely or partially forming the bottom of the shovel of a lattice- like grating and imparting vibrations to the grating. CONSTITUTION: The bottom of a shovel 20 having two side walls 21 and the bottom which couples the walls 21 with each other is entirely or partially formed of a lattice-like grating 23. The grating 23 is constituted in such a way that the grating 23 is born and vibrated by means of the shovel 20. After a material is contained in the shovel 20, the material in the shovel 20 is classified or separated by imparting vibrations to the grating 23. It is preferable, in addition, to adjust the oscillation frequency to about 2,000 min<-1> and the amplitude by vibration to about 5-10 mm.
