PURPOSE:To provide the manufacturing method for obtaining the color filter uniform in film thickness with small loss of a resin. CONSTITUTION:A substrate 16 is coated with a photosensitive resin solution by winding a wire 6 on a roller 2 provided with a spiral groove and allowing the wire 6 to hold the resin solution. The viscosity of the resin solution at the time of coating is set to 10+ or -3cps, and the photosensitive resin after the coating and exposure is removed by high frequency vibration in a washing solution.
