PURPOSE: To fit transient compensation for acceleration or deceleration to operational conditions changing over the whole life of an automobile, in an electronic fuel supply amount controller for an internal combustion engine. CONSTITUTION: This controller conducts transient compensation for acceleration or deceleration based on a tube wall combustion membrane model. Tube wall combustion membrane amount and a scaling-down coefficient for the tube wall combustion membrane amount are stored in maps 17, 18, at least one of which is learned according to the signal of aλsensor. It is thus possible to apply the transient compensation value to operational conditions changing over the whole life of an automobile.
