The massage shower system (6) comprises injectors (7) to direct the pressurized water or air and water jets radially towards the body of a standing patient, frame elements (9) supporting the injectors (7) and provided with a vertical motion with respect to the patient, and actuating means (10) to transmit a vertical motion, with respect to the patient, to the frame elements (9). The actuating means (10) incorporate means for giving the frame elements (9) a rising movement between lower and upper levels vertically spaced apart, the speed of said movement increasing from a substantially minimum value to a substantially maximum value when the frame elements (9) move from the lower level to the upper level. The system may be used particularly for massaging the various regions of the body of a patient, simulating the progressive action of a masseur.
