PURPOSE:To make a television game machine compact as a whole, and provide the game machine with expanded functions more than a game machine by a method wherein a flat box-like mainframe of the television game machine, which is equipped with a 16-bit CPU, includes a built-in CD-ROM drive as a drive unit for software supply media besides the software for the game machine so as to integrate the mainframe and the CD-ROM drive into a flat small body. CONSTITUTION:An image output substrate 4 equipped with a 16-bit CPU and others is arranged under a flat box-like mainframe 2 of a television game machine 1, and a cassette inlet port is provided on the rear upper part of the mainframe 2 to allow a cassette to be mounted and dismounted in the vertical direction. Information of the cassette is displayed on the screen of a TV to be connected to the mainframe 2 of the television game machine. A CD-ROM drive 20 is mounted on the substrate 4 to integrate the mainframe 2 and the CD-ROM drive 20 into a body and a disk tray 24 is allowed to be taken in and out from the side face 2c of the mainframe 2. |
