This prosthesis comprises principally a base (14) in which are provided several seats (22, 28) and passages (24, 30) which are oriented obliquely with respect to one another and are designed to receive removable anchoring members (32) which are then made integral with the base. The base has a support (40) which itself receives a sliding joint component (48). Application in particular to hip and shoulder prostheses. <IMAGE>
