PURPOSE:To obtain a natural printed result which is further like Japanese by enabling features of various kinds of fonts such as script or the like to be expressed. CONSTITUTION:Character positional information for vertical printing and for horizontal printing fixed to each character of each font stored in a font memory 14 is preliminarily stored in a character positional information memory part 15. A character of said font stored in the font memory 14 is developed in a buffer 16 following said character positional information according to indication for vertical writing or horizontal writing. The developed character is printed with a printer 18. |
