The method of assembly, by overmoulding, of a strip (2) made of plastic over a web (1) also made of plastic, consists in gripping the web (1) in the injection mould, over the entire perimeter of the cavity for moulding the strip (2) and, simultaneously, in injecting the plastic into the mould cavity on either side of the web. This assembly method is more particularly usable for the production of pull bands used in the construction of seats. This pull band is fixed either directly with the aid of the strip by means of complementary hooks, or by hooks directly overmoulded with the strip. <IMAGE>
