PURPOSE:To solve the problem for nickel hydroxide which is the active material of a non-sintered type nickel electrode in that the utilizing ratio of the active material can not stably be held over a long period. CONSTITUTION:In an electrode obtained by adding a conductive agent and a binder to nickel hydroxide followed by working into sheet, a carbon powder plated with nickel is used as the conductive agent. Particularly, this plating is preferably porous. As the carbon powder, graphite and carbon black are preferable. |
