The present invention relates to a backwards steering control device. The device is characterised in that it comprises two separate parallel cams (33, 34) secured to a secondary shaft (22), driven in terms of rotation by a longitudinal transmission shaft, and in that it comprises means (48) for making the ends of rear steering rods (13) bear constantly and respectively on the two cams (33, 34).
