PRODUCTION OF SATURATED POLYESTER RESIN FOAM

PURPOSE:To obtain the title foam having minute cells by adding a uncleator to a saturated polyester resin, melt molding the mixture, and subjecting the molding to a specified treatment. CONSTITUTION:A uncleator (e.g. polyolefin derivative) is added to a saturated polyester resin (e.g. polyethylene terephtalate) and the mixture is melt molded desirably on an extruder 1 a gas (e.g CO2) is infiltrated into the saturated polyester molding under pressure desirably in pressure vessels 4, 5 and 6 and the pressure is released. The molding is foamed designably by heating in a heating oven 11 and the obtained molding is cooled.
