Ring exchange for air conditioner in motor vehicle - has oval tubes, arranged to minimise flow resistance

The ring heat exchanger has tubes arranged around a ventilator, with associated segmented ribs. The ribs are positioned at relative distances, in longitudinal direction of the tubes, and have passages to accomodate these. The ends of the tubes have associated water tanks. The tubes (14, 15) have non-circular cross-sections. Arrangement and/or alignment of the tubes is adjusted to the flow path of the exhaust air of the ventilator (11), so that flow resistance is minimised. The tubes are oval, and located in a concentric circle about the ventilator. USE/ADVANTAGE - Reduced noise from ring-type heat exchangers.
