PURPOSE:To simply obtain a word the part of which consists of 'KANA' (Japanese syllabary) by 'KANA'/'KANJI' (Chinese character) conversion without increasing the capacity of a dictionary and requiring complex word preparation work. CONSTITUTION:In this document device provided with a 'KANA'/'KANJI' converting dictionary J1 in which reading character strings and 'KANJI' character strings corresponding to the reading character strings have been registered, a dividing processing part S2 divides the reading character strings from the 'KANJI' character strings in accordance with corresponding relation between respective characters in the reading character strings and respective characters in the 'KANJI' character strings in the dictionary J1 and a candidate string formation control part S3 combines the divided reading character strings and the divided 'KANJI' character strings and forms 'KANA'/'KANJI' conversion result candidate strings. |
