METHOD FOR PRODUCTION OF DEHYDROGENATION CATALYST

PURPOSE: To provide a low chlorine-contg. catalyst by effectively removing chloride ions from platinum support catalyst obtained by impregnating a porous catalyst support with the chloride soln. of platinum. CONSTITUTION: (a) A complex catalyst support contg. platinum and chloride ions is preprred by impregnating a porous catalyst support with the chloride soln. of platinum, (b) dryed, (c) calcined to solidify the platinum and (d) the calcined complex catalyst support (c) is washed with heated water upper the sufficient condition for substantially removing the chloride ions from the support, while substantially maintainng the all of platinum.
