The rods (1,4) are connected together by a guide (8) which allows them to move freelyrelative to each other. The hygroscopic cleaning head (9) is fixed to the ends of the rods pref by rubber rings (21). At least one of the rods (1) can end on its side opposite the side with the wiper (9) as a handle (11) and the other rod (4) can end as a lever (12). In the normal cleaning position the lever rod is connected to the handle rod by a closed bolt (15). The wringer unit (16) has two opposite supporting walls (17,18) with hooks (19) on one wall for fixing over the bucket. USE - The mop or wiper can be squeezed dry by pressing the wet wiper with the grippers (10) forming the ends of the rods.
