In this arrangement a bell-shaped body (1) with an open underside is used. The top of the inner space opens into a chimney-like body (4) leading upwards. There are outlet jets for water at high pressure, and a second set of outlet jets for inert gas (pref. CO2), inside the bell and inside the chimney (4). USE/ADVANTAGE -- The arrangement is of comparatively simple construction, and is used anywhere where there is an oil fire at an oil outlet.
