The entire process which takes about 30 minutes starts with the car minus the wheels positively clamped on a transport carriage and always held over a trough (16) whose base drops down inclined on one side towards collecting receptacles (39). The movable coachwork parts such as boot lids, doors are removed and the fluids are drained off, first by cutting open the fuel tank at the lowest point and then by removing the brake fluid by compressed air blasts. The shock absorber fixings are released followed by the engine mountings and axle mounting. The radiator is removed, the radiator fluid drained and the seats and fittings ripped out. The underbody protection is scraped off by high speed rotary brushes. During these processes the vehicle can be held and turned into different positions by holding claws (13). USE/ADVANTAGE - Homogeneous scrap materials from a scrapped car can be collected up.
