CONTROL ROD FOR ATOMIC REACTOR

PURPOSE: To obtain a control rod for a nuclear reactor having a slender channel for accommodating boron carbide or other neutron absorber expanded when neutron is radiated. CONSTITUTION: A neutron absorber 20a has a protruding part 20a' introduced into a slight channel of channels 18b or is partly arranged in a casing protruding toward the wall of the channel. Further, the protruding part is made to form a non-charging space 40 for absorbing the expansion of the absorber to the wall of the channel.
