PURPOSE:To electrically connect picture element electrodes and drain electrodes of the active matrix substrate without forming contact holes and to prevent the generation of disconnection in the picture element electrodes. CONSTITUTION:A TFT 30 is constituted of a TFT body 30a and TFT partial body 30b. The drain electrode part 32b of the TFT partial body 30b is exposed on the surface of an insulating protective film 54. The drain electrode part 32b and the picture element electrode 40 formed on an insulating protective film 54 are electrically connected and eventually the drain electrode 32 and the picture element electrode 40 are electrically connected.
