<p>PURPOSE:To obtain an instantaneous component density of an exhaust gas sequentially and accurately while eliminating the need for complicated maintenance by diluting a car engine exhaust by a gas for dilution at a ratio always constant and allowing no dew formation. CONSTITUTION:An exhaust gas 6 from an engine 3 of a car 1 flows through a gas passage 19 as kept from being diluted and the exhaust gas 6 is introduced into a first unit 27 through a gas introduction port A. The exhaust gas 6 is diluted by a gas 8 for dilution at a ratio fixed and allowing no dew formation and the exhaust gas 59 always diluted at the ratio fixed and allowing no dew formation is supplied to an analysis section 63 as sample gas. This enables the supplying of the fixed ratio diluted exhaust gas 59 as obtained by diluting the exhaust gas discharged from the engine 3 by the gas 8 for dilution at the ratio always fixed and allowing no dew formation and a constant flow rate exhaust gas 16 as obtained by diluting the exhaust gas 6 by the gas 8 for dilution in such a manner that the sum of a flow rate of the exhaust gas and that of the dilution gas is always constant alternatively to a single analysis section 63.</p> |
