Compressed air supply unit for the compressed air braking system of a road vehicle having an oil lubricated compressor (1) and a pressure controller (3) for switching between delivery of air and idling. During idling the compressor delivers air, not under pressure, to atmosphere through an outlet (18) to which is attached an oil trap (8) containing a material (13) such as bark enclosed in cottom which absorbs any oil present in the circulating air. ADVANTAGE - System for an oil lubricated compressor which ensures that only air is discharged into the enviroment.
