PURPOSE:To offer information desired by the user efficiently in the electronic bulletin board system. CONSTITUTION:Bulletin board information is read out of a bulletin board information file 22 provided to a bulletin board information server 1 via a network 3 and displayed on a bulletin board information display section 13 provided to a user side information processing unit 2. A filter condition setting section 11 to set the condition of the bulletin board information to be observed by the user is provided to the user side information processing unit 2. A bulletin board information retrieval section 9 to retrieval the bulletin board information satisfying the filter condition from the bulletin board information file 22 and to send it to the user side processing unit 2 is provided to the bulletin board information server 1.
