PURPOSE:To thin the head by disposing an objective lens between a light source and a mirror. CONSTITUTION:An objective lens 104 is disposed between a semiconductor laser 101 and a mirror 105. Light emitted from the laser 101 is converted to parallel rays by a collimator lens 102, and thereafter, converted to a convergent light by the objective lens 104, and condensed to a storage medium on a disk 106. Subsequently, by a focusing actuator 1O9, the objective lens 104 is moved in the direction as indicated with an arrow 111, and a light spot is moved in the focus direction 111. In such a way, since the objective lens is not provided between the disk 106 and the mirror 105, the optical head can be thinned. |
