To produce milled felting from wool or hair, with embedded additives, non-woven layers of wool fibres are laid conventionally. Metal fibres are added to the laid layers, using noble metals, brass, silver bronze, or German silver. The layers with the metal fibres are combined to a single non-woven and carded. The material is felted and milled, using a fluid for the milling which does not attack the metal fibres, or hardly affects them. The material is finally dried and pressed into a solid or shaped felting body. ADVANTAGE - The metal fibres are firmly embedded in the material, and do not work free even when the felting is under heavy loading
