<p>The dial (2) is illuminated by a cylindrical bulb (12), the upper part of which is housed in a slot (14) cut into a ring (15), made of artificial glass, forming a diffuser and situated on the periphery of the space situated between the dial (2) and the glass (8) of the case. The outer surfaces of the ring (15) are dull whereas its inner surface (23), like the surface of the slot (14), is mirror polished, thus improving the diffusing of the light. The bulb (12) is powered by a cell (21) fixed to the inside of the back (10) of the case and to which it is fixed by a ring (22) having radial arms (22a) bearing against it, this ring being notched to an annular rib (10a) on the inside of the back (10). <IMAGE></p> |
