<p>A data recording apparatus records (13) data (REC) with block numbers (BLNO) assigned successively in predetermined blocks (DB) on a recording medium (1), and then records predetermined final data (EORT) in succession on the recording medium (1). Reproduced data (RAW) obtained by concurrent reproduction of said recording medium (1) is monitored (51) for errors in the reproduced data during recording of the predetermined final data (EORT). When an error is detected (WER), the recording data (REC) and the final data (EORT) are successively recorded again.
