<p>PURPOSE:To attain multiplex processing corresponding to a required number of VCI without any limit to a period able to be set to a cell counter and without need of the management of a closing state of the counter. CONSTITUTION:Plural cell counts Ca of a cell counter 407 are not reset at once for each period T calculated by the application value of the user, but a time interval from the arrival of a preceding valid cell is calculated by a subtractor circuit 403 at the arrival of a cell, and when a comparator circuit 405 decides the interval to be the period T or over, only one cell count Ca corresponding to the call is reset. Then when a comparator circuit 409 decides the relevant cell count Ca corresponding to the cell counter 407 to be larger than a relevant cell number specified value C stored in a cell number specification value table 308 at the arrival of the cell, the comparator circuit 409 outputs a violation decision output to a mark provision/cell forced abort section 5.</p> |
