PURPOSE:To eliminate the positional deviation of a temperature detecting element and to accurately detect temperature by winding an insulating tape in the same direction as the axial direction of a heating roller. CONSTITUTION:The temperature detecting element 3 is attached in such a manner that it is placed on a sponge 4 and then wound together with a substrate 5 by the insulating tape 7. At this time, the direction in which the insulating tape 7 is wound is the same direction as the axial direction of a fixing roller 1. Therefore, even when the fixing roller 1 starts rotation, the deformations of the sponge 4 and insulating tape 7, which results from pulling in the rotating direction, hardly occur, and the temperature detecting element 3 securely abuts on the surface of the fixing roller 1. In addition, the element 3 can be in pressurized-contact to the surface with the predetermined contact-pressure. |
