PURPOSE:To offer the peak frequency tracking device which provides superior peak frequency tracking. CONSTITUTION:This peak frequency tracking device is equipped with a spectrum smoothing means 10 which smoothes a spectrum envelope in the time direction and frequency direction as the preprocessing of an input spectrum, a local peak frequency detecting means 11 which detects a local peak frequency from variation in spectrum value, frequency by frequency, at time (n), and a time continuity decision means which decides the time continuity between a peak frequency (n-l) a unit time before and a local peak frequency at time (n), and a peak frequency tracking means 13 which is based upon the above decision result. |
