PURPOSE:To eliminate difficulty in handling a thin dielectric sheet at the time of producing a plasma addressed liq. crystal display (PALC). CONSTITUTION:A glass substrate 1 is grooved 2, the grooves 2 and discharge electrodes 3 are formed, and the grooves 2 are filled with a heat resistant polymer 4. A dielectric film 5 is then formed by vapor deposition, sputtering, coating, thermal spraying or other means, the polymer 4 in the grooves 2 is dissolved and removed and a liq. crystal cell is put on the dielectric film 5. |
